Nothern Leek

Nothern Leek

Northern Leek, often referring to varieties of leek grown in cooler, highland or northern regions (such as Cameron Highlands in Malaysia), is a member of the allium family known for its long white base, light green stalks, and mild, sweet onion-like flavor. Compared to regular leeks, northern-grown leeks tend to have more tender stalks and a slightly more delicate aroma due to the cooler growing conditions. They're commonly used in stir-fries, soups, or braised dishes, adding gentle depth and fragrance without the sharpness of onions or garlic. Highly versatile and nutritious, northern leeks are loved for their balance of flavor and texture in both homey and refined dishes.
