Red Chilli Padi
Red Chili Padi, also known as Bird's Eye Chili, is a small, fiery hot variety of chili pepper (Capsicum annuum). It is commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisine, particularly in Malaysian, Thai, Indonesian, and Filipino dishes. These tiny chilies pack a lot of heat and are often used to add spiciness to sauces, sambals, curries, soups, and stir-fries. Despite their small size, red chili padi offers a sharp, intense heat and is typically used fresh, chopped, or in chili paste form. They are also high in capsaicin, which is known for its metabolism-boosting and pain-relieving properties.
